2008 TREE Fund Tour des Trees
Breaking Away to the Gateway
July 21 – July 26, 2008

The event will begin with participants assembling in Indianapolis on Sunday, July 20, 2008 with events planned at the Capital. On Monday morning riders begin the 6-day, 550+ mile Tour with an “official” lap around the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway and then head off to Bloomington and finish the day by riding in to the Little 500 Arena! From there the Tour continues on through southern Indiana with stops planned in Vincennes and the quaint town of New Harmony. The participants will then travel the hilly terrain of southern Illinois through the Shawnee National Forest, and stay in Carbondale on July 24th. The Tour will end with a finale celebration at the ISA Field Day event in St. Louis on July 26th. Scenery includes a covered bridge or two, journeying up the Great River Road, and tree planting events at every stop!
